Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How does the Medicare rebate work, and do I need a GP referral?
As our clinic is serviced by an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, many eligible medical consultations may attract a Medicare rebate.
You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner. If you have a valid Medicare card, our team can assist with processing your Medicare claim after your consultation where applicable. Any eligible rebate will be paid directly into your Medicare-linked bank account.
2. Are your medical services bulk billed?
We are a private billing clinic, which means an out-of-pocket cost, also known as a gap fee, may apply to your consultation.
The total consultation fee depends on the type, complexity and duration of your appointment. We believe in clear and transparent billing, and our team will inform you of the consultation fee and any expected Medicare rebate before your appointment.
3. Am I guaranteed to receive a prescription during my consultation?
No. Prescription treatments are not guaranteed.
All prescriptions are provided only where clinically appropriate, following a comprehensive assessment by our Nurse Practitioner. Your safety is our priority, and any treatment recommendation will be based on your individual health needs, medical history and current Australian clinical standards.
4. What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your physical or digital Medicare card to your appointment.
As part of your consultation, our Nurse Practitioner will review your health concerns and, where clinically appropriate, arrange any required blood tests or further assessments to support your personalised treatment plan.
5. How long does the consultation take?
Initial consultations typically take 30 minutes, depending on the type and complexity of your concerns.
This allows our Nurse Practitioner time to review your medical history, discuss your symptoms and goals, perform any relevant clinical assessment, and develop a personalised management plan without rushing.
