What Types of Wrinkles can Injectables Treat?
Wrinkle relaxer injectables can help an adult patient of any age improve his or her appearance, not only imparting a more youthful look, but also alleviating an overly concerned look, helping you look better refreshed or even more pleasant. The most commonly treated areas are those where muscle activity influences facial features, such as the following:
*Glabellar lines (a.k.a. “elevens” or frown lines)
*Wrinkles around the eyes, such as crow’s feet
*A “cobblestoned” appearance to the chin
What are Injectable Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours. More than 1 million men and women annually have choose this popular facial rejuvenation treatment, which can be a cost-effective way to look younger without surgery or downtime.
*Smooth unwanted lines,
*enhance the cheeks & lips,
*and love your more youthful appearance
Lips and Lip Border
Several techniques and products are available to treat lips. If increased volume is desired, cosmetic injectable fillers can be used in the border and/or body of the lips, and depending on strategy of placement of the fillers, the shape of the lips can sometimes be changed as well (if desired). If the lines within the lip body are to be reduced only, for a rejuvenated look rather than enhanced volume, Philtrum columns which are two vertical lines attaching from the nose to the lips, flatten as we age. These two lines can also be enhanced with the use of fillers. Anti-wrinkle injection is another option that can enhance lip form and size. When used properly, it can create a soft eversion of the lips.
Also called the smile lines, this area can be treated by filling the lines directly, or lifting the overhanging cheeks with fillers.
The insufficient volume under the eyes, either genetically or due to loss of fat can give a tired appearance to the eyes. Bags may also develop while cheeks lose volume with age. This can create a shadow below the bag which can make the area appear hollow. Fillers, in various amounts depending on an individual's facial structure, can be used to rejuvenate the eyes, leaving a natural looking enhancement and decreasing the tired look.
What to Expect During Treatment
Cosmetic injections are non-surgical and typically completed during an office visit. Your initial treatment will begin with a consultation, during which you will meet with our doctor or nurse to discuss your concerns and goals.
During your consultation, your nurse will evaluate your area of concern and go over your medical history. Even though there is little risk of major complications for most patients, it is still imperative that you share your medical history fully and openly with your provider before treatment, as certain allergies, skin and neurological conditions, or medications can make treatment unsuitable for a patient. For instance, you need to tell your doctor or nurse if you have been taking NSAIDs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen) or blood thinners.
Some call them the elevens, others call them glabellar lines, or the vertical lines between the brows. These lines are formed by the contraction of the frown muscles and over time etch into the skin, leaving permanent appearance of anger even when a person feels happy. The best way to prevent these lines is the early use of muscle relaxing injectables. These agents also help decrease established lines when they are not too deep. Once the lines are deep, fillers may also be needed to strengthen the foundation under the skin and help support the effects of wrinkle relaxer in reducing these lines.
Brows commonly lose their support as we age, by loss of volume under, and the thinning/stretching of the skin. With the use of wrinkle relaxing injectables, as well as fillers. the brow shape can be conformed to a more lifted and rejuvenated position and appearance.
These refer to the small radiating lines next to the eyes that form with smiling or squinting. While they can give the eyes warmth, they can also have an aging appearance. They are best treated with muscle relaxing injectables. but they can also sometimes be supplemented with very fine fillers.
Also called lipstick lines or granny lines, thin fillers can be used to create firmness. injections can also be used to decrease the pursing of the lips, thereby decreasing the lines.

Cosmetic injections are an effective, non-surgical muscle relaxant that allows the skin and collagen to repair. The treatment blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften, leaving the skin smoother.
